Film Avatar di Buat dengan Ubuntu

avatarFilm Avatar dibuat dengan Ubuntu, Dalam pembuatan film Avatar ini melibatkan 35.000 Core prosesor, 104 TB RAM, 10 Gbps Networking, 3 PB Hardisk.. dan yang lebih mencegangkan lagi, untuk membuat film ini di butuhkan 17,28GB data / menit!.

Server – server ini terletak di Marimar, Wellington, Selandia Baru. Nah waktu membaca tulisan dari Cak Dustin, saya jadi kepikiran bagaimana mendinginkan server dan UPS nya. hm.. ternyata ada teknik khusus, ternyata menggunakan water cooled yang terbukti ampuh menurunkan suhu prosesor hingga 27 C!
